During our 2017 visit to the Huila province of Colombia, we stopped by Tarquí to see our partners at Asociación El Paraíso. Their brightly colored warehouse lies at the base of a mountain ridge. We then trekked up to the high-altitude farm of one of Asociación El Paraíso's newer contributors, where he welcomed us into his home and introduced us to his family. At such high altitudes (~1900 m) coffee dries very slowly and pests are less prevalent.
